About Us

Mrs Stella Smith

On behalf of the children, staff and governors I would like to welcome you to Falconbrook Primary School.

Falconbrook Primary School resides in a large Victorian building, situated in the Winstanley Estate, Battersea. It is a ten minute walk from Clapham Junction Station; as a result there are excellent transport links. There are two classes to each year group in KS1 and KS2. We also have a large Early Years Unit which can accommodate 110 pupils in total.

We are lucky enough to have four playgrounds. We have one for the early years children, one for each of the two key stages, as well as a unique roof top playground.  We make sure our playtimes are active and enjoyable. Children participate in timetabled sport sessions including football, cricket, badminton and tennis. They also enjoy trim-trail sessions and  climbing adventures on our pirate ship.

We are proud of the additional musical opportunities we provide for our children. KS2 pupils learn to play the recorder, steel pans and drums. Children who demonstrate a particular interest are given the opportunity to learn the clarinet, flute or saxophone.  Several of our pupils took the Associated Board of  Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) exams last term; one was awarded a merit and another passed with distinction. We have our  own school band, Bandworx, who have performed at the Royal Festival Hall, local events as well as at school concerts. Our steel pan band have also performed at several local and school events.

Falconbrook is a happy and caring school with a strong sense of community. We enjoy working together and celebrating together. Please click here to see pictures of our recent Community Carnival event, in which all children, staff and many parents participated.

The children at Falconbrook  are a delight, and the staff team are dedicated and committed to providing our pupils with the best educational opportunities possible.

We have recently introduced a new and exciting curriculum which aims to inspire both the children and the teaching staff. You can find out more by clicking on the Curriculum Framework tab for 2015-2016.

We are an aspirational school and have high expectations for both the education and behaviour of all of our pupils. We firmly believe that every child should have the very best education possible and strive for excellence for all members of our school community.

Our vision for Falconbrook School is that every child achieves the best possible outcomes and that ‘no child is left behind’.

We warmly welcome visitors to our school. To arrange a visit please contact the school office.
